She was boxed in by her fears, unable to realize her full potential. All that changed when she met a girl named Sami, fell in love, and chose to leave behind those narrow boundaries in favor of a fuller and more vibrant life.

I was looking for a book to listen to while I finished my household chores. The next thing I knew I was laughing at the stories and at the same time celebrating “Beans” for her bravery. It is an act of rebellion to fully show up for yourself when the world around you is begging you to be someone else. Beans act of rebellion is beautiful. Powerful. Liberating. Perfect. Keep rebellion sis, it looks good on you.

This book is INCREDIBLE!!! It was so uplifting especially during the times of 2020.

Reading (listening) to Brits story, I felt my heart change. I grew up in a church but also felt alienation enough to push me away from seeking God. I am so thankful to have stumbled upon this book and hope to be able to use Brits story to help others who may be struggling and finish the healing within my own life.
