Dhane kicked the bucket in spectacular fashion, every bone crushed, every organ popped against the full force of a 40-ton garbage truck speeding through a red light.

The only part of him intact—whole—entirely unaffected by the grisly affair was his soul. Souls are durable things, you see, like kids: they bounce.

And bounce he did, into the abyss between worlds, drifting until one excited soul watcher fished him out and found him a new home, a heaven for gamers and nerds and everything in between.

It was all he could have ever wanted in the afterlife, down to choosing his class, killing mobs, and exploring a beautiful fantasy world chock full of mysteries yet to be discovered.

At least…it would have been those things if that first day had gone a little tiny bit differently.

Instead, he now finds himself locked in the middle of an eternal conflict between Light and Shadow—humans and monsters—potentially being the enemy to all.

Wrong Divinity is the start of a new GameLit series that balances comedy with serious themes. It's an isekai—a portal fantasy—to the spirit realm. Join Dhane, our underdog, as he explores his new world, a world full of unique characters, RPG mechanics, and spiders—ugly, terrifying spiders—while he learns what it means to be an Arachnomancer.

This is not a story about an op protagonist. Our MC gets rocked nearly every step of the way in his journey. While I think the power scaling/leveling aspects and pacing get left by the wayside most of the time. It balances that out with an interesting world and characters.

The narration was pretty good. Qarie Marshall did a good job for the men but struggled voicing the female characters. I just wish we got more of Reba Buhr. Her solo chapter was really well done. Just makes me with this was a true duet.

I'll definitely be picking up book two. Hopefully, it's not too long a wait.

I’m 100% from now on in any litrpg gonna always skip the first book. It’s wild how many nvm not how many but all have the Mc getting destroyed, imprisoned, and tortured. With him just being a turd. That’s what this book is and I don’t think I’ll checkout the second one.

i know every work is used to make another, and I'm not sure why but this tale feels stale

I loved the humor and the narration sold the humor exceptionally. His writing style had a great cadence, which made it an easy listen and likely aided the narrator.

Story was okay. Nothing overly engaging but definitely an enjoyable listen. Weren’t many places where I missed parts due to external distractions which to me gives it a positive review from my viewpoint.

Narration was fantastic.

The pacing is drearily slow. MC wastes 90 percent of his time fumbling around conversations, making the worst possible decisions, and slapping spiders. Then somehow the book seems to skip OVER the one time it seems he made a good choice then backtracks to let you know it wasn't all that good.. The ending made it seem like the next book will be better, but we'll see. I'm invested now, for good or ill.

Get..ON WITH IT!
