I struggle to finish the book because it doesn't give real marriage advice you could use in practice. Rather the book gives a retelling of the Bible.

The author failed to demonstrate how marriage is a masterpiece from his perspective. In comparison of what the Bible layed out. It lacks depth and practical solutions for marital issues. The author uses water down examples based on the cherry-picked stories from the Bible. This book is not something to study or use to overcome issues in real-life marriages.

This book failed to give reasons to consider marriage in the day and time.

By comparing what the author discussed in his interviews versus what was written in the book. Anyone would come away disappointed. Then, expect the study guide to fill in the substance and hopes that would spark opinion based on solutions or pull out learning reflections from the book.
