You will never again look at the Aurora Borealis in quite the same light.
Registered Nurse Zeranda Viotto Maret thought she was moving back to her hometown of Cayne, Maine, to take care of her ailing mother. Little did she know that she was moving back to a town filled with the horror of a gruesome serial killer that had already claimed the lives of three young women. That, combined with learning about the special gifts that come only to the women of the Viotto family, cause Zeranda's life to become filled with a terror that she never knew existed.
As body parts of the missing young women begin showing up throughout town, Zeranda starts to wonder, how well does she really know her best friend's boyfriend? Even more concerning, what about her own boyfriend, the handsome doctor that never talks about his family? And can she trust the words of her mother, who is suffering from increasing cognitive impairment, when she tells her about a magical book that is part of her family heritage? These fears are in addition to Zeranda's own internal questions, such as, can she really communicate with the dead?
Navigate this nail-biting thriller with the lights on as you hear about Zeranda and the life-changing friendships she develops in a small New England town. Experience her terror as she tries to care for her mother, protect herself from the secretive neighbor that is always watching, and learn the secrets of the Viotto family. But beware, there is still a sadistic serial killer on the loose.
Just when you think you've survived the heinous fear of this audiobook, you reach the end, and the terror hits you again. And again.

I really enjoyed the narrator, Vanessa Potena Perry, she did an excellent job with this novel. Her pacing and character voices were on point.
This was a solid book, kept me guessing, and even made me squirm a few times. I'm glad Shary Caya Lavoie didn't go much further with the gory parts!
The book leads you to who the killer probably is....two suspects. I don't want to say much...but you won't see the ending coming until you are there.
This is my third Shary Caya Lavoie book, I look forward to more books from her in the future.
This book will make you warn the young women in your life to be aware of their surroundings!
