As March turns to April, those in the Christian household turn to the stories of Jesus’ final days in what commonly is called Holy Week. While all four canonical gospels record Jesus’ humbly entering Jerusalem as shouts of Hosannas surround; three of the canonical gospels also preserve the story of a woman pouring an expensive essential oil on Jesus’ body to keep him through all the happenings of his arrest, crucifixion, burial, and Easter morning surprise.
