• 96. Fact or Fiction: Knicks Edition!
    Apr 7 2026

While the Knicks were in the middle of winning a wild one in Atlanta Monday night, the Dummies decided to play a bit of a game. There are a lot of narratives around the Knicks right now as they head into the playoffs, so we decided to play a game of fact or fiction this week.

There's a lot happening in college sports right now. And while we recorded before the men's basketball national championship game, there was much to discuss, including the expansion of the tournament and the President's executive order targeting a variety of things.

Our halftime topic is a trip down into the past as we chat about what Easter was like when we were kids.

On the other side of the break, we look at the Mets through 10 games, and chat a little NFL with the Giants and the Dexter Lawrence situation.

    Please enjoy!

  • 95. St. John’s Runs Out of Answers Against Duke
    Mar 31 2026

St. John’s made Duke work for it, but the Red Storm’s season came to an end in the Sweet 16. We break down where the game slipped away, how Duke’s zone changed everything, and why the lack of a true point guard felt like the biggest issue when it mattered most. We also check in on the bracket standings and who still has a shot to win the pool.

Elsewhere in the episode, LeeJay sounds off on the backlash to lower speed limits in school zones, we react to one of the strangest crime stories you’ll ever hear, and we get into a completely unplanned conversation about BBLs at the gym. Then we shift to baseball and talk Mets opening day, the atmosphere at Citi Field, fan behavior, and whether the whole experience lived up to the hype. We also touch on the Yankees and the report that the Pirates turned down a huge prospect offer for Paul Skenes.

  • St. John's. Is. Just. Too. Sweet (16).
    Mar 25 2026

The last time the St. John's men's basketball team found themselves in the Sweet 16 was in 1999 when Will and Erik were sophomores at St. John's. Time flies.

Will and Erik preview St. John's' Sweet 16 matchup against Duke Friday night in the nation's capital. Erik is actually a Duke fan despite going to St. John's, so we get both perspectives in this bonus episode.

  • 94. The Mets & Yankees in 2026
    Mar 23 2026

Spring Training is over and it's time for some real baseball as the season opens in San Francisco Wednesday night between the Giants and Yankees. The Mets start their season Thursday afternoon at Citi Field against the Pirates.

This is a bit of a different episode this week as we dive right in to the discussion about with Mets and the Yankees. Larry Fleisher joins us for the Yankees segment as the Dummies chat about what we expect from baseball in New York in 2026.

  • 93. St. John's Begins its March to Madness
    Mar 17 2026

It's finally time to go dancing!

We don't chat about St. John's too much on the podcast, but it's that time of the year again, so Will made sure to invite Larry Fleisher back to the show to talk about the Red Storm's performance in the Big East Tournament, as well as their prospects in the NCAA Tournament starting Friday night.

But alas, the conversation about St. John's continued with Erik and LeeJay, who didn't agree with St. John's getting a No. 5 seed for the second year in a row.

The Dummies also give their picks for the tournament. And don't forget, you can join our brackets challenge here! If one of our listeners can beat the Dummies, you get a segment on the podcast!

Elsewhere, the Dummies chat about a variety of things, including NBA expansion, 80s sports icons, the WBC, Giants, Jets, and more NFL chatter involving a potential Thanksgiving Eve game.

And finally, LeeJay has a trivia game for us to play.

  • 92. Geno Smith to the Jets, Giants Make Moves & NFL Free Agency Chaos
    Mar 13 2026

This week was one of those situations where delaying the podcast a few days actually worked to our benefit! This year's NFL free agency period was insane, and both the Jets and Giants were right in the middle of it.

Geno Smith is back at quarterback for the Jets, and LeeJay is...ok with it? The Giants are looking much better on paper than they did last year. The big question at the end of the day for both teams is whether any of this will really matter?

The Dummies also go through some of the major NFL moves.

We also chat briefly about the Knicks, Lou Holtz, St. John's, and the World Baseball Classic.

Our Mt. Rushmore this week is all about who we would want at the plate with the game on the line.

    Please enjoy!

  • 91. Around the Horn on Jalen Brunson, Nolan McLean, and Carson Benge
    Mar 3 2026

Let's face, this time of the year is tough for sports chatter. So, we figured we'd do something a little bit different: we each came to the table with a topic of our own.

LeeJay discussed Jalen Brunson and the Knicks, Erik talked about how Mets fans need to chill about anointing Nolan McLean the next best thing, and Will believes the Mets should start Carson Benge in right field to start the season.

Of course, we also have a lot of shenanigans in this particular episode as we criticize pizza and bagels made in Boston, high Knicks ticket prices, and a bunch of other things.

And finally, LeeJay has Will and Erik field a starting lineup that would be capable of winning the World Series.

    Please enjoy!
