  • Missy Bevers
    Apr 2 2026
Before sunrise on April 18, 2016, in Midlothian, Texas, Terri “Missy” Bevers arrived at a church to lead an early morning fitness class. But within minutes, something went terribly wrong. What happened inside that building in the quiet hours before dawn? Why does this case, years later, still feel filled with unanswered questions? Was this a random act—or something far more intentional? And how can a case with so much attention still have so few answers? Nearly a decade later, Missy’s story remains unresolved… and someone, somewhere, knows the truth. Please also consider supporting Coffee and Cases by joining us over on our Patreon page! Mar 30 2026
A New Hampshire teen's Spring Break transformed from what could have been a fun-filled week to one of horror for her mother, Judith. Perhaps the key to this mystery is whatever... or whoever ... plunged this case into darkness. Please also consider supporting Coffee and Cases by joining us over on our Patreon page! • Robert the Doll
    Mar 20 2026
Before the Hollywood dolls that haunt our dreams, there was one (not so) quietly closed in an attic in a Key West home causing quite a stir for anyone with whom he came into contact. As his notoriety has grown and with his placement in a permanent museum display, the reach of that contact has grown tremendously, as has the number of letters he receives from people pleading with him to release them from whatever curse he has placed upon them. This episode is the history of Robert the doll. If you’d like to read more about Robert the Doll, check out David Sloan’s book, found HERE. These ladies are awesome. My daughters and I love listening to this podcast. The girls are equally knowledgeable and entertaining. My biggest draw at first was the lack of profanity, which is hard to find with true crime, but now we are true fans of these two well matched friends.

Our Favorite True Crime Podcast!

The hosts have a real connection not only to each story but to each other as well. There is banter but for the most part it is not overdone. They have a real desire for these cold cases to be solved or at least kept in the public eye. A really great podcast worth subscribing to.

Love the hosts and the stories!

First and foremost let me say, I have a lot of criteria for podcasts. I almost exclusively listen to true crime, but there's so much more than just this. Banter really annoys me, and what bothers me even more than that is podcasters passing judgement. This podcast doesn't victim shame or pass judgement on the people who have committed the crimes (which I truly appreciate). If you enjoy banter, and unsympathetic people for your true crime podcasts this is not for you. But if you want to listen to two people covering unsolved true crimes that are rarely covered by other media who are compassionate and considerate wonderful storytellers who are light on banter and thorough research, this is a great place to listen!
