  • Saying Yes Every Day: Faith, Gratitude, and Resurrection Power // Bryson Kessler (Ep. 34)
    Mar 25 2026

Bryson Kessler, former Rolling Hills staff member and founder of Clover and Bee, shares how following Jesus extends into every part of life—ministry, business, and family. She reflects on seasons of grief, including her mother’s passing and her sister Beth’s decade-long battle with cancer, and how those experiences shaped her faith and daily reliance on God.

Through these trials, Bryson learned the power of active trust, surrendering control, and saying “yes” to God every day. She emphasizes the life-changing practice of gratitude, inspired by Beth’s steadfast faith, and how noticing God’s work even in small, everyday moments brings peace and joy.

Bryson also reminds listeners that resurrection power isn’t just for eternity. It equips us to face daily challenges, forgive, and live fully in God’s love. Anchored in scripture, her story inspires believers to trust, surrender, and live with hope. Because when we live surrendered, every day really does matter.

  • Walking Through Cancer with Faith and Gratitude // Scott Koon (Ep.33)
    Mar 11 2026

Pastor Jeff sits down with Scott Koon to talk about the quiet but powerful influence of growing up in a home where faith was lived out daily. Scott reflects on how watching his parents serve others and stay rooted in God’s Word shaped his own faith, family life, and the way he approaches his career and relationships today. Their example reminds us that the small, faithful moments of everyday life leave a lasting legacy.

Scott opens up about his 2020 leukemia diagnosis, grueling treatments, and recovery during COVID-19. Leaning on prayer, Psalm 23, and the support of his church and friends, he emphasizes the importance of accepting help, showing up for others, and keeping an eternal perspective through life’s struggles.

Now fully in remission, Scott encourages living intentionally, being present, and nurturing relationships today rather than waiting for tomorrow. His story reminds us that every moment is an opportunity to reflect God’s goodness. Because when we live surrendered, every day really does matter.

  • Living on Mission, One Yes at a Time // Anna Townsend (Ep. 32)
    Feb 25 2026

In this episode of Every Day Matters, we hear how one simple yes to God can lead farther than you ever imagined. Pastor Jeffc sits down with Anna Townsend, longtime Rolling Hills preschool pastor now serving as a missionary in the Amazon with Justice & Mercy International. Anna shares how her faith began at seven years old through honest questions and grew stronger in high school as she made her relationship with Jesus her own. That foundation shaped a life of joyful service and openness to God’s call.

Anna reflects on God’s steady guidance. A college plan to pursue nursing shifted through kids ministry and camp, leading to a calling that did not always make sense on paper. In 2014, she signed up for a mission trip to the Amazon, a decision that set off a chain of obedience that eventually led her to move there full time. Today she serves river communities, embraces a deeply relational culture, and trusts God in the daily unknowns.

Her greatest joy is seeing God meet people personally, often as an answer to prayer. Anna reminds us that while not everyone is called to go far, everyone is called to go next door, listening for God’s agenda and taking the next faithful step. When we say yes to Him, He writes a story greater than we could ever imagine.
