Leslie Kischer is the President and Owner of Assured Healthcare Staffing and Assured Care at Home, organizations dedicated to helping families navigate the complexities of care with compassion and expertise. Founded in 2007 by Leslie’s mother, a registered nurse with a remarkable ability to connect with people, the company was built on a foundation of trust and service. In 2018, Leslie joined the business and quickly discovered her passion for supporting families in finding the right care solutions, while also creating meaningful and flexible career opportunities for healthcare professionals. Today, she is committed to helping individuals age in place with dignity, providing resources for those living with disabilities, and guiding families in recognizing when a loved one may need additional support. Leslie joins us to share insights into planning for care and the value of having the right support system in place.

Wendy Singer is the Executive Director of No Shame On U, bringing more than 25 years of experience as a nonprofit professional dedicated to education, youth development, and community engagement. She began her work with No Shame On U as Director of Programming before stepping into the Executive Director role in 2024. Prior to this, Wendy served as Director of Education at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center and spent 18 years with JCC Chicago, where she focused on summer camps, mentorship, and meaningful teachable moments for young people. A passionate educator and connector, Wendy holds a Master’s degree in Non-Profit Management from Spertus College. She joins us today to share her personal mental health journey, the mission behind No Shame On U, and how the organization is working to reshape attitudes, elevate conversations, and break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Jennifer Bott is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with deep personal and professional insight into the challenges of the sandwich generation. Married and the mother of three young adult children, Jennifer balances part-time work as a mental health therapist while helping manage her husband’s business. She also shares her home with her 81-year-old mother, stepping into the day-to-day responsibilities of caregiving. Passionate about honest conversations around boundaries, caregiving, and finding balance in a full season of life, Jennifer volunteers with a foundation that supports metastatic breast cancer patients with financial needs. She joins us today to discuss the joys and challenges of multigenerational living, managing work and family while caregiving, and the emotional impact of caregiving on the entire family.
