Ralph is a 9-year-old quarter horse ranch pleasure gelding who came to Joni with a history of yearly hock injections, intermittent front end lameness, and a personality that had recently shifted — grouchy, bitey, spooky, and dunking his hay in his water bucket. April's distance reading flagged viral and bacterial issues and asked if Ralph had ever been tested for EPM. Joni took him to an EPM specialist who confirmed the diagnosis.
