We ask a simple but demanding question: if faith has changed us, can anyone else see it. We look at the early Church and Barnabas to learn how the resurrection becomes visible through generosity that makes other people’s lives better.
• the early Church as one heart and mind
• “no needy person among them” as a community choice
• why the most convincing witness is a shared way of life
• Barnabas as the model of quiet encouragement and generosity
• shifting from “what do I keep?” to “where can I give?”
• the practical test: who is better off because I’m in their life
• one concrete baby step that makes faith visible
So take one step today. I'm going to challenge you. Not a big one. Take a baby step, a real one. Notice someone you usually overlook. Give time to someone who has been asking for a phone call or for a visit. Give where you normally hold back. Encourage someone who needs it. Be a Barnabas.
