In this episode, we read John chapters 13 and 14, where Jesus shares intimate and powerful moments with His disciples before the cross. In chapter 13, He washes the disciples’ feet, demonstrating humility and servant leadership, and gives a new commandment — to love one another as He has loved them.
Chapter 14 continues with words of comfort and promise. Jesus assures His followers that He is preparing a place for them and declares that He is “the way, the truth, and the life.” He also promises the coming of the Holy Spirit, who will guide, teach, and remain with them.
John 13–14 reminds us that following Jesus means living with humility, love, and trust, knowing that He is always with us and has made a way for us to have lasting peace and eternal hope.
