Kale Beers has spent the last 30 years as the play-by-play voice of La Salle University men's basketball. A La Salle alum, he has called hundreds of games for the Explorers, including La Salle's run to the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament in 2013. His resume also includes years broadcasting minor league baseball, and decades of work in athletic communications and PR. In Episode #290 of "1-on-1 with Matt Leon," Matt welcomes Beers in studio to talk about his career. They discuss how he started the radio network for La Salle, look back at his time in the Army, learn the origin of his signature call 'Pow" and much, much more.
