Pride may be the most dangerous sin we struggle with because it often hides deep within the human heart. But in Scripture we see the perfect opposite of pride in the life of Christ. From leaving the glory of heaven, to living as a servant, to humbling Himself in obedience to the cross, Jesus shows us what true humility looks like. In this message we discover that the humility that saved us is the same humility God now desires to form in us.

Pride is often hidden beneath the surface of our lives, quietly shaping our thoughts, decisions, and relationships with God. In this first message, “The Problem of Pride,” we go back to the Garden of Eden to see how pride first entered the human heart and how it still influences us today. But the gospel offers hope because while pride separates us from God, humility is the pathway that brings us back to Him.

Today’s message asks a powerful and honest question: Have we stopped at belief when Jesus called us to discipleship? Across our culture many people claim to believe in God, believe the Bible, and believe in Jesus, but belief alone is not the goal of the Christian life. Jesus commanded us to make disciples. In this message we look at the difference between agreement and surrender, belief and obedience, and how the Holy Spirit calls every believer into a deeper life of following Christ.
