President Trump has declared a goal of colonizing Mars. Elon Musk has been a big advocate of this and it is obvious that he is pushing President Trump. Colonizing Mars is essentially a reset button on society and having a clean slate means even the monetary system can be created from scratch. In this episode we explore a potential architecture for that monetary system and Bitcoin provides an excellent base. Bill Maher created a video about Bitcoin and mining that used several incorrect figures and he then mocked "crypto" and essentially called it a bane on society. This video rebuts Bill's statements and, more importantly, discusses our responsibility to defend Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's blocks have been valued in an incomplete way and many new factors will become apparent over the next few years. This changing value will also change who is motivated to control blocks and the complexion of the mining landscape.
