Two major tragedies were thrust upon Super Rugby this week as both the Crusaders horses and Moana Pasifika officially get the axe from our great competition. Is this the future of Super? One axing at a time?

In other news, it was poetry in motion as the Canes keep their No.1 status, with a decent thumping of the Blues, as Cam Roigard cements himself as the best halfback - probably in the world. The Chiefs pound Moana into literal non-existence to setup a thrilling top of the table clash next week in Hamilton. And the Crusaders faced the wrath of the hurting Reds side, as the 100th celebration to Filipo Dangunu geed the boys up to a historic win, the first at home against the Crusaders since 2011. Goes to show, anything can happen in this comp!

  • It Started With A Kiss
    Apr 7 2026

It’s Easter and you know what that means! Only 3 games of Super Rugby? WTF? Weirdest decision since the inclusion of the Sunwolves.

The Easter bunny brought a second consecutive thumping for the Queensland Reds, as the heat turns up on soon-to-be Wallabies coach, Les Kiss. Poor bugger. What has happened to the Brisbane men and can they bounce back to stay in the top 6?

The Chiefs finally answer some critics with a tasty performance, albeit against a seriously average Waratahs side. And the Crusaders do what they always do - start to push the throttle in when it counts as they absolutely devastate the Drua at the last ever game at Apollo Projects Stadium. God help us when they move to Te Kaha…

    Mar 29 2026

It was lights out both figuratively and literally this weekend as the Hurricanes switched off the Reds like an old lamp and the stadium lights went down at North Harbour Stadium, just as Highlanders started their one game winning streak.

The Brumbies will regret not celebrating James Slipper’s 100th game for the franchise, as the Tahs sneak past them for an upset, thanks largely to Angus Gardner.

The Chiefs barely scrape by the Force as they still struggle to find their rhythm.

Newly crowned Prince Peyton continues to shine in his father’s footsteps as part of a killer Blues backline, and Ruben Love has had a lovely hair treatment and is looking better than ever.

This week on the pod, the boys discuss some big wins that are shaping the comp. The Hurricanes continue their habit of whooping everyone’s arses as Ruben Love tears the Highlanders apart - can they continue doing it to the top teams when they come along? The Blues build their momentum with a comeback win in Sydney and some lessons in refereeing from Beauden Barrett. And the Chiefs pull out a Chiefs classic, and throw the game away against the Brumbies in Canberra as James Slipper gets yet another award for something.

  • If you go out in the Rain
    Mar 17 2026

Round 5 is done! It was cats and dogs in Fiji, as the Drua took all the angry energy from not being allowed to perform ‘Na Bole’ at the start of the match, to punish the Brumbies - and all because someone up to at Super Rugby thinks it’s too hot?

The Hurricanes cruise to the top of the table, but now the hard games start. Can they hold on to their first place spot?

Moana’s defence continues to plague them as the Blues knock up 40 at Eden Park.

And the TMO might need to do some sim training, as they forget what constitutes a try and deny the NSW Waratahs a chance against their old foe the Queensland Reds.

  • A Hat Trick of Hat Tricks
    Mar 10 2026
Round 4 of Super Rugby saw a rare hat trick of hat tricks in two epic 50 point rompings as the Chiefs and Hurricanes taught Moana Pasifika and the Waratahs a sorely needed lesson. And to add insult to injury, Joseph Sua’a’li’i is out for 6 weeks - will it actually make any difference? Two of our most cherished All Blacks returned to the field and made immediate impact - are Beauden Barrett and Damian McKenzie still our best? It looks like it! And there’s one question that needs answering - can the Crusaders win without Will Jordan? All this and a review of that very weird down trou from Salakaia-Loto! Tune in!

The Aussie fans are going nuts, as their Super Rugby sides do a clean sweep of their Kiwi counterparts in a rare exciting weekend for Australian rugby. Could we see an Aussie side claim a trans-Tasman title for the first time in 12 years? Probably not. But maybe…just maybe. And if it’s anyone, it’ll be the Brumbies.

On this week’s episode we review the round that was, with some seriously award-winning tries, a fair bit of biff, and a fair bit of rain. Can the Chiefs bounce back after a painful loss to the Crusaders, will the Hurricanes be able to play rugby again on a dry pitch? And there’s all to play for in a derby to end all derbies as the Blues host the Crusaders at Eden Park. Will it be NZ victories or will more up the Brum for the Kiwi teams.
