You think you know the story? Think again. The history books lied. Welcome to THE APOCRYPHAL CUT: the series that throws out the boring sermons and digs into the real, dangerous truths they kept hidden. This is where history meets faith—and the truth is visceral, unfiltered, and explosive. This entire podcast is built around distinct, deep-dive Biblical History Mini-Series, each one a multi-part audio drama. The scripts—written and presented by a Minister and Crypto Cultural Anthropologist—are brought to life by a world-class cast of audio drama actors sourced globally, from Juilliard to Europe’s Guildcrest top drama schools, and featuring voices of true notability, including Catholic Diocese politicians and ministers. This production is packed with unparalleled talent, ensuring an immersive, dramatic experience. The series confronts the ultimate ancient conflict: the gritty, cruel reality of the physical world (the Flesh) crashing against the radical spiritual revolution (the Spirit). This is the Visceral Gospel.Every mini-series is an apokalypsis, or 'unveiling'—to show you what truly happened:
  • Magdalene: Forget the gentle saint. Mary Magdalene was the forbidden spiritual boss, a woman of deep experience they tried to silence and erase. This multi-part drama reveals the true story of political feud, suppressed succession, and the power that scared the Church.
  • Hadassah: Strip away the royal pageant. This multi-part thriller about Esther is a tense, high-stakes drama about an enslaved orphan forced into sexual coercion and a political plot to wipe out her people. When survival is the only sacred act, she fights back.
  • John’s Vision: The Book of Revelation is not magic—it’s a psychological breakdown under Roman tyranny. We explore how a prophet, chained and tortured on a prison rock, translated his suffering into a terrifying, cosmic verdict on the evil Empire.
  • Birth of the Savior: The ultimate reality check. The story of Christ's birth is seen through the eyes of an overlooked kid, exposing the physical brutality of the Roman census and the visceral, bloody reality of the divine entering the world in abject poverty.
THE APOCRYPHAL CUT is history redefined. It’s the stuff that was too political, too powerful, and too real for the official canon.

  • Magdalene Part 3: The Revolution
    Apr 3 2026
Out of the wreckage of the old world, a new one must be born. The artisan, having faced the heart of the chaos and survived, now holds the key to reforging their reality. It is a delicate and dangerous art, weaving the raw power of the chaos with the enduring strength of the crystal, creating something stronger and more beautiful than what was lost. But the remnants of the old order are not so easily forgotten, and there are those who would see the chaos contained rather than embraced. The final conflict is not one of violence, but of creation, as two opposing visions for the future collide in a final, breathtaking display of light and color.

A Message From Robert Jerome Pagan

This project is the culmination of a lifetime spent wrestling with faith, feminism, and the power of narrative. It began at age eleven with Anita Diamant's "The Red Tent," which cracked open my world by giving voice to the silent women in the margins of the stories I was taught. Growing up Catholic, I was immersed in that world; I loved the ritual and iconography, even running Bible schools, yet always felt a disconnect. That feeling sharpened as I came into my identity as a queer person and activist. My work has since been dedicated to weaving together diverse narratives that explore the complexities of identity and community, much like in my theatrical piece "An American Posada," which reframes a traditional religious story to investigate themes of displacement and belonging. This "Magdalene" is the ultimate expression of that artistic impulse. It is my personal "red tent"—an act of spiritual activism to reclaim a foundational story from the patriarchal structures that have confined it. It’s an effort to explore the queer space of a faith that is radical and inclusive, giving Magdalene the voice I ached to hear as a child: not a sinner or a saint, but a revolutionary of the spirit, an apostle whose truth was deliberately suppressed but will never be silenced
