  • My Message For All Catholics (w/ Fr. Mike Schmitz)
    Apr 9 2026

Happy Easter! In this joyful season, as we celebrate the beauty of our faith, we’re also reminded of our human brokenness, and how at times, that brokenness can reflect poorly on the Church.

Fr. Mike Schmitz encourages us not to get discouraged nor walk away, whether we’re new to the Church or have been Catholic our whole lives, but instead to refocus on what makes our faith truly unique, Jesus Christ, fully present in the Eucharist: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

  • Don’t Go Into Easter Without Asking Yourself This (w/ Fr. Mike Schmitz)
    Apr 2 2026

Throughout Lent, and really throughout the entire Christian life, we keep Christ crucified before our eyes as a reminder of how deeply we are loved. But it also confronts us with a question: Do I want to be associated with that?

Fr. Mike Schmitz challenges us, especially during Holy Week but also every day, to answer honestly: Do I want to be associated with Jesus, even if it means suffering?

Our hope is that the answer becomes “yes,” day after day. Because no matter the trials or sacrifices, nothing compares to the joy of being with Him at the end of it all.

  • Fr. Mike Schmitz and Michael Iskander on "House of David", Catholic Faith, and More
    Mar 26 2026

Fr. Mike Schmitz sits down with Michael Iskander, best known for his role as King David in House of David, for a powerful conversation on faith, vocation, and the journey toward God.

They reflect on David as a flawed man after God’s own heart, exploring what it means to live faithfully, trust God’s mercy, and simply do the “next right thing.”

Michael also shares his journey to Catholicism, including his experience growing up in Egypt amid persecution and the moments that led him to a deeper relationship with God.

Michael also shares his “five stones” for spiritual battle, which serve as a practical and powerful roadmap for staying grounded in the spiritual life:

    The Rosary
    The Eucharist
    Sacred Scripture
    Fasting
    Monthly Confession

Don’t miss this inspiring conversation and be sure to check out Season 2 of House of David, streaming March 27 on Prime Video.

I am finally reading through the whole bible! No starting and then stopping at Leviticus! I have always wanted and tried but I couldn't stay focused and follow/understand what was happening. This is the greatest podcast of all time! Father Mike you are incredible. Your breakdown and explanations at the end of each episode are literally teaching me God's word and what the bible is saying. I've always felt so inadequate and like such a Christian wanna-be I guess. I went to a private Chistian school K-8 and then a private catholic high school. I know many bible stories and lessons but I never truly knew or understood who was writing/saying these things, how they came to be part of the story or why. I have told so many people about this podcast. I am praying that one day in the "nearer" future my teenage sons will take my advice and also listen to this podcast. You don't have to be Catholic to listen to this podcast - I'm not. If you have ever wanted to just learn and try to UNDERSTAND what is being said then this is the best resource ever. I did not discover this podcast until about February, and then I wasn't listening every day, but that's ok - I was able to binge listen (which I loved!) and I am now all caught up and on the same page. I get giddy when it pops up on my phone that today's episode is up! I will be re-listening to this podcast for years. Thank you Fr. Mike for this incredible thing you are doing - things are shifiting, my eyes are opening, I am FINALLY learning and understanding. Thank you for praying for me, I AM praying for you.

Finally Doing It!!

Are we excused from Mass if you have a chronic disease? I have many painful diseases. I was taught we are excused yet I feel so guilty. Your thoughts.?

Each one is one topic. Short and to the point. And Fr. Mike Schmitz does a great job at explaining the "why" it matters or "why" it makes sense or "why" it is important, etc. I am a struggling, new Catholic and these podcasts are helping greatly.
