As the evening draws near, pause and rest in the awe-inspiring sacrifice of Jesus. Tonight’s Our Daily Bread Evening Meditation invites you to draw near to the cross, reflecting on how Christ gave Himself fully, surrendering His will for your salvation and opening the way to God’s presence.
Reflecting on Colossians 1:21–22, we are reminded that we have been reconciled through Christ’s body, made holy, and freed from accusation. In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus faced sorrow and anguish, yet submitted to the Father’s will, demonstrating the depth of His love and obedience on our behalf.
As you prepare for sleep, let this meditation settle your heart and mind. Come to the cross in thought, rest in His finished work, and receive the assurance that through Jesus you are welcomed into God’s presence, forgiven, and deeply loved.
Tonight’s meditation is read by Rebecca. Meet the team at odb.org/meet-the-team.
