  • HOUR 3 - Rodgers & Steelers 'status quo', Ryan Wilson, Debrief
    Apr 28 2026
After the recent developments with the Steelers and Aaron Rodgers, a few insiders are claiming that nothing has changed and it’s still ‘status quo’ for the front office’s dealings with the QB. Mark Kaboly thinks the Steelers will hear ‘definitively’ in the next few weeks about Aaron’s intentions. The Steelers reportedly told Rodgers they were going to lay down the UFA tender. A new wrinkle is that they can rip up the $15M price tag, a small raise from last season, and give him more money once he signs. Again, the guys ask, if they were so sure this was happening, why did they do this? NFL Draft analyst Ryan Wilson from CBS Sports joined the show. Ryan loves the Germie Bernard pick for the Steelers and believes he can become a favorite weapon to whomever is QB in Pittsburgh. Ryan doesn’t want to throw Drew Allar under the bus again, but thought the 3rd round was a little rich for him. Ryan actually ‘loves’ a lot of the Steelers draft. Ryan raved about Eli Heidenreich in the 7th round and isn’t totally against the Kaden Wetjen pick in the 4th. Ryan said Riley Nowakowski can easily replace Connor Heyward, and even give you better football. Can the Steelers successfully turn Gennings Dunker into a guard after playing mostly tackle at Iowa? Right now, Ryan thinks 4-5 QBs go in the 1st round in the 2027 NFL Draft. He added that the Steelers may finally have a top 10 pick. Donny Football Debrief – Russell Wilson may be staying in New York after all. The Jets brought him in for a visit today.

  • HOUR 2 - Reported team interested in Rudolph, Jon Ledyard, Bucco Minute
    Apr 28 2026
If the Steelers felt so strongly about Aaron Rodgers coming back, then why are they placing this tender on him? Sure, it’s an insurance policy, but that tells us they aren’t as sure as we once thought. What happens to the other QBs on the roster? Apparently, there is a team that has interest in Mason Rudolph. That team is the Buccaneers, allegedly. Does Will Howard have more value than Rudolph due to the unknown? Audibles & Analytics and Yinz Know Ball podcast host Jon Ledyard joined the show. Jon gave the Steelers draft a ‘thumbs down’ overall, but he is a big fan of Max Iheanachor and thinks the 21st pick could save the whole class. Jon doesn’t rule out Max playing left tackle even though he was a full-time right tackle at the college level. Jon still thinks it makes the most sense to move Troy Fautanu to LT, since he spent plenty of time there in college. Jon was not a fan of the Drew Allar selection because aside from his failures in big games, there is plenty on film that you should be worried about translating to the NFL level. He thinks it will be very challenging for Mike McCarthy to develop Allar into a good NFL QB. Jon reacted to the Steelers selecting a punt/kick return man in the 4th round, who he said would not be drafted if he went into the process as a WR. Is Kaden Wetjen good enough in the return game to make the pick worth it? Jon thinks Eli Heidenreich has a better chance to make an impact than most of the players picked ahead of him by the Steelers. Jon added that Heidenreich was one of the Steelers’ best picks. Bucco Minute – Pirates pitchers were perfect into the 7th inning last night, but they managed to lose that and the game, 4-2. How much blame does Don Kelly deserve? Dennis Santana was rocked in the 9th after carrying a 0.69 ERA into the game.

  • HOUR 1 - Steelers place UFA tender on Rodgers, HOCKEY TALK!, Sports Court
    Apr 28 2026
The Steelers have placed a rarely-used tender on Aaron Rodgers. The move gives the Steelers security in the entire situation. If Rodgers were to sign with another team, it would give the Steelers a compensatory pick in next year’s draft. This also provides Rodgers with the incentive of a small raise, but he’s pretty much locked to the Steelers unless he chooses to retire. If this was so ‘set in stone’ like most of the Steelers media wants us to believe, why did they do this? The guys think it’s a bit curious. And a shout out to Mike DeFabo for pointing out that this was definitely not part of the Steelers plan. It sounds even more confusing than last year. Is the Rodgers retirement starting to build momentum HOCKEY TALK! The Penguins beat the Flyers to extend the series to Game 6 tomorrow night in Philly. After facing a 3-0 deficit, what are the chances the Pens can win this series in 7? One of the producers here, that is a Flyers fan, jumped on everyone when Philly went up 3-0 in the series. How is he feeling right now? Mullsy is still picking the Penguins to lose thinking it could work as a reverse-jinx. PM Team Sports Court w/ our friends from Edgar Snyder & Associates. Are Nick and Rob in approval of Poni being rehired by The Fan yesterday, less than an hour after quitting? The guys believe the Penguins will force a Game 7 against the Flyers. The guys think the Steelers went into the draft unprepared and think there is a real feeling that Aaron Rodgers won’t be back. Did Don Kelly misuse the bullpen last night?
