  • Ep. 73: Back to the Future Part III, Cowboy Doc & the Trilogy Finale
    Apr 16 2026

    We’re heading back… to 1885.

This week, Jeff & Josue wrap up the trilogy with Back to the Future Part III (1990)—the Wild West finale that swaps hoverboards for horses and turns Doc Brown into a romantic leading man. (and wraps up one of the most iconic trilogies of all time.)

As kids, this one felt like the “extra” sequel.

As adults? It might be the most complete ending of the trilogy.

We talk about the Western setting, Doc’s unexpected love story, the callbacks to the original, and whether this movie sticks the landing… or just rides off on nostalgia.

Plus: a “Third Time’s the Charm” limerick game, time travel logic (again), and a train finale that makes for a shaky landing.

👦 Special thanks to Clark Abyad for this week’s kid intro.

  • Ep. 72.5: You’ve Got Mail [AFTER THE CREDITS]
    Apr 9 2026

Still here? Let’s log back on for After the Credits.

Did Joe Fox accidentally misidentify a Jane Austen novel? Why don’t some of the email voiceovers match what’s on screen? Jeff & Josue stick around for a few leftover thoughts, early internet nostalgia, and a few behind-the-scenes details you probably never noticed.

It’s a relaxed, slightly tech-nerdy cooldown for anyone who isn’t quite ready to log off just yet.

    🎬 Companion to Ep. 72 — You’ve Got Mail (1998).

If you haven’t listened to the full episode yet, we recommend starting there first.

  • Ep. 72: You’ve Got Mail — Back When Email Was Romantic
    Apr 2 2026

We’re logging on, hearing the dial-up tone… and catching feelings.

This week, Jeff & Josue revisit You’ve Got Mail (1998)—the ultimate late-90s rom-com that turned email into romance and bookstores into battlegrounds.

As kids, this movie felt cozy, charming, and maybe a little slow.

As adults? It hits slightly differently.

We talk about the nostalgia of early internet culture (AOL, chat rooms, and “You’ve Got Mail”), the rise of big-box stores vs. small businesses, and whether Joe Fox is actually likable… or just charming enough to get away with everything. 😅

Was all of this necessary… or just a really long misunderstanding?

Is Joe Fox actually a good guy… or just a really likable villain?

And could this movie even exist today without the mystery of early internet culture?
