  • [PART 2] The Devil is in the Details - Robert Wone
    Apr 26 2026
In Part 2, we slow everything down and take a closer look at the details, the evidence, the timelines, the medical findings, and the theories that try to explain what happened inside that house. Because this is a case where the devil really is in the details, and the deeper you go, the more things start to fall apart. Every piece seems to explain something, but never everything… leaving behind a story that, no matter how many times you try to put it together, never fully comes together. • [PART 1] The Illusion of Control - Robert Wone
    Apr 17 2026
On this episode of Wife of Crime, I'm telling Russ the insane case of Robert Wone! Robert spends the night at a friend’s home after a late work meeting. Less than an hour later, he’s dead. What should have been a straightforward case quickly turns into one of the most baffling mysteries we’ve ever covered. A timeline that doesn’t fit. A scene that raises more questions than answers. And a story that only gets stranger the closer you look. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

For nearly 20 years, Dennis Bradford lived a normal life....blending in, keeping quiet, holding onto a secret no one around him could even imagine. A secret about a little girl taken from her own bed… left for dead in a field… and never supposed to be heard from again. But secrets like that don’t stay buried forever, and after 20 years his world would come crashing down! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I am obsessed with Jess and Russ. I tell everyone I know to listen. My fave is when Russ makes fun of Jess farting. I am a fellow farter, and they remind me of when my hubby makes fun of my farts to our friends. It’s embarrassing but he’s just venting his frustration 😆 my fave time of day is when I’m working and listening to them!

Jess and Russ are an entertaining couple with witty banter that adds needed levity to dark subjects. Episodes are well researched. Working on staying fit and staying alive.

I found this podcast by accident earlier this year (2022)and I have been hooked ever since! I was drawn in by Russ’ NY accent and stayed for the stories and the banter. Russ and Jess make these stories come alive and make me feel sad, horrified, scared and angry-all the feelings! I now quote Russ -“stay fit, stay alive!” and my personal favorite “too fat to kidnap!” Thanks for bringing light to these cases and thanks for showing me not everything has a horrible ending with your segment “not me! Not today!” Keep it up! ♥️
