Jesus, the Word of God
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:1, 14)
The message of Jesus is our freedom. It is the essence of our faith, the power of our confession, the security of our future, the hope of our calling, the key to our deliverance, the pathway to salvation, and the promise of eternity.
In this powerful teaching that bridges Easter and Pentecost, we discover the stunning truth that Jesus has finished His work on the cross and is now seated at the right hand of the Father as our Advocate. The Holy Spirit is actively revealing all that Jesus accomplished, just as He carried out the Father’s Word at creation: “Let there be light.”
Through the miracle of feeding the 5,000 and Jesus walking on the stormy Sea of Galilee, we see Jesus as the Bread of Life who fulfills the law and brings completion where striving could never succeed. Five loaves and two fish become abundance for thousands—symbolizing grace, the law’s fulfillment, and provision for all humanity. Twelve baskets remain, empowering every disciple to carry that same sustaining power forward.
When the disciples are tormented by waves in the middle of the night, Jesus doesn’t just calm the storm—He walks on the water, declaring “It is I,” echoing the great “I AM.” Peter steps out in bold faith, and Jesus invites him (and us) to do what He does: walk above every storm with authority over creation itself.
Jesus is not still healing, providing, or performing miracles on earth—He has empowered you. He is everything you need. The war on sin is over. The finished work of the cross stands. Resurrection belongs to you.
Abide in His Word, and you will know the truth—and the truth will make you free indeed. Sanctified by truth, equipped with twelve baskets of overflow, and called to touch a hurting world with the hem of His garment.
This is who Jesus is: the Word who spoke everything into existence, the Son who sets us free, and the King who invites us to walk in His power.
Let the Holy Spirit reveal Jesus to you today. Declare with confidence: “Jesus has empowered me, and He is everything I need.”
Listen now and step into the freedom, authority, and abundance that belong to you in Christ.
