The Crawling Chaos is a haunting, surreal tale born from the collaboration between H.P. Lovecraft and writer Winifred V. Jackson. First published in 1921, this story combines Lovecraft’s eerie prose with a dream that Jackson herself experienced, which served as the story’s foundation. In an interesting twist, the two writers published under pseudonyms, with Jackson as “Elizabeth Berkeley” and Lovecraft as “Lewis Theobald, Jun.”

"At the Mountains of Madness" is a science fiction-horror novella by American author H. P. Lovecraft, written in February/March 1931. The story details the events of a disastrous expedition to Antarctica in September 1930, and what is found there by a group of explorers led by the narrator, Dr. William Dyer of Miskatonic University. Throughout the story, Dyer details a series of previously untold events in the hope of deterring another group of explorers who wish to return to the continent.

Randolph Carter disappeared from the site of man 7 October, 1928, at the age of 54, and a group of men have met in an olibanum scented room in New Orleans to settle his estate, assuming that Carter is, in fact, dead. A mysterious swami attends proceedings proclaiming that Carter is not dead. We will travel with the swami through space and eons of time, cataloguing the travels of Randolph Carter.
