A Sadie Sexton Hoochville Mystery

After spending twelve years in New York City, fiber influencer Sadie Sexton didn’t expect to find herself living back in her hometown of Hoochville, Tennessee. But when her grandmother bequeaths her beloved yarn shop to Sadie and her sister Charmayne with the stipulation that they must run it together for a year, Sadie and her dog Peaches find themselves back in the small Appalachian town.

Just when Sadie Sexton is starting to settle into her new routine in Hoochville, she learns of a decades’ old secret that her grandmother’s friends have been keeping from her. Now it’s up to her and Clementine Parker to help Marcia Murphy, a woman in need, escape town. Marcia has one request on her way out of town; she begs Sadie and Clem to check on her prized Chinese Crested show dog.

There’s a wedding in Hoochville! All Sadie Sexton is worried about is getting her bestie to the altar on time. But when two bodies show up at the wedding venue on the day of the ceremony and the groom’s whereabouts the night before are in question, suddenly he becomes the prime suspect.

Trouble is blowing up all over Hoochville. In the aftermath of the Founder’s Day parade explosion, weird things keep happening that parallel events in Deana Marie’s new unpublished whodunit. Coincidence? Sadie doesn’t think so. And when a body turns up in the storage shed at River Rats Tavern, all eyes are on Deana Marie as the source of all the shenanigans. While Sadie’s focus is on finding Deana Marie’s manuscript copycat, most everyone else in town is too enamored with Hoochville’s new roller derby team, the Intoxiskaters, to even care.

When a dead body is discovered in the freshly prepared grave of a prominent Hoochville community leader during the weeklong Harvest Festival celebration, the unexpected death is ruled a suicide. But Sadie and her friends think otherwise. It’s all tricks and no treats this year as Juniper, the dead woman’s niece, appears to be targeted as the next victim.
