Lago was only a child when the shapeshifter entrusted the wolf-like mask to his care—an artifact so powerful that it could come to shape the entire world of Noss. Now that he is coming of age, Lago is becoming ever more fearful of the ominous relics influence, of the empire who has scented its trail and is coming after it. Coming after him.

Withervale burns. After a terrifying encounter with the Red Stag, Lago-Sterjall and the wayfarers venture to Zovaria, but all they find in the Pink Capital is betrayal. Chased by enemies within and without, they take refuge in a land of magical beauty: the Moordusk Dome. A mischievous and seductive caracal prince lurks in the domed land of felids, and he has set his eyes on Lago. But Lago's heart beats to the tune of the mountains, yearning for the lover he was forced to leave behind. The adventurers embark on a search for one of the missing animal spirits, the wise Mamóru.

The planet has tasked the wayfarers with recovering long-lost memories from before the Downfall. To complete this quest, they will need to open all sixteen domes. As the party splits, seafaring battles leave Lago-Sterjall stranded in a desert. Deceit breeds beneath the blue sands, and grave dangers threaten to take away all that the wolf holds dear, including his newfound lover, the caracal prince. The dome of the marsupial clade is now within their reach, but even more realms await their arrival—domains where the limits of Sterjall’s moral convictions will be tested.

Desire fuels a new journey of self-discovery. After a betrayal, an abduction, and a rushed rescue mission, the wayfarers reach the Ashen Dome only to find that the enemy has beaten them to it—Fjorna Daro is about to take command of the mask of bovids. Thick-armored half-beasts inhabit the dome, hesitant to form an alliance with Lago-Sterjall and his companions. The horned warriors are proud to display their culture and might, but there is one pivotal secret they are not yet revealing.
