Where to even start? First, this book handles some severely serious issues. Make sure to read the trigger warnings and that you are in the right headspace before starting it.

That said... mad respect to Stasia Black for tackling the topics in this story in a harsh, but utterly realistic way. I was uncomfortable, I bawled, got angry, laughed, and just felt all the feelings. I appreciate the way in which the MCs found their HEA because life is messy, but beautiful.

Mackenzie Cartwright and James Joseph absolutely crushed their performances. I hate when people say narrating is easy and they're just reading a book out loud. No. just no. The people are master actors and can bring a story to life simply with their voice. No facial expressions, musical score, or special effects. It's just them and the material. They deserve all the awards for this one.

Be prepared for a book hangover. Worth it!

I really enjoy Stasia Black’s 🎧books but this one was on a different level and sadly not in a good way. 😑 Truth be told this book was rather boring (narration was blah) it took me weeks to try to complete but with more than 2 hours left I just DNF! Is it worth a credit? For me it’s a no thanks.

This has to be one of my top three worst books i've ever listened to. I did finish it hoping that something would happen to salvage this book but it never did. I couldn't have cared less about the characters. I have love previous books by Ms. Black but i don't know what she was thinking when she wrote this one.

I read books to escape my normal life to go into a fantasy type place. I love romance, the forbidden love, enemies to lovers. I had a very hard time wanting to finish this book. It just wasn’t for me with the abuse & mental illness parts. Multiple personalities are not sexy.
