This whole Constantine series is so awesomly well done. Even the rough sex does not feel gratuitous, but organic and even explains how it's necessary for the characters without explaining it. The first book 📖 with Roman and Lucas is my favorite. I will be listening to this series again!

Book #2 Constantine Brothers series

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I love a good bi awakening story its so hot. A man exploring and finding that he isn't quite as straight as he once thought, but only for one man. A man that has protected him and been there by his side. Strong connection.

Quinn is the bodyguard to Vitali the head of the family. He has had a massive crush on Vitali since the beginning of his employment, pushing it down deep because Vitali is "straight" right? A tragic event where Vitali almost looses Quinn starts to awaken something he was not consciously aware of, the fake that he is attracted to Quinn.

This was an intriguing, entertaining, and spicy read. I liked it alot.

What starts as an unexpected friendship between a man and his bodyguard, quickly becomes complicated when Quinn realizes he’s falling for his boss, a man who has always identified as straight. As their lives become more intertwined, Quinn has to navigate the risks of Vitali’s world while also confronting his own fears about love, trust, and whether he deserves to be chosen.

This book is definitely mafia-lite. The mafia setting is there, but the story focuses much more on the emotional journey between the characters rather than the darker crime elements. Quinn had emotional baggage from a past where he never truly felt loved or valued. Because of that, he struggles with believing someone could genuinely want him. I really appreciated how realistic his concerns were about being with a man who has always identified as straight.

What I found most endearing about the story was Vitali’s unwavering support for Quinn. Despite pushing Quinn beyond his comfort zone, he consistently demonstrates care and understanding for Quinn’s past and insecurities, even when he finds it frustrating.

Ryan Stone and JF Harding both do a great job bringing Quinn’s vulnerability and Vitali’s steady, reassuring presence to life. Their delivery captures the emotional tension and tenderness between the characters, making the listening experience really engaging.

Confession by Rina Saint is a d*rk m*fia bodyguard MM romance. This is my first read/listen of Rina’s work and let’s just say I’m not sorry I said yes! Her character development is rich in detail and complexity. Quinn, the bodyguard, is a walking contradiction with his need to maintain control and giving up control whether it’s in his job or in the sh*ets! There are so many layers to this man. Vitali, the m*fia boss, is a complicated man as well in his own way. He is blunt and honest with his feelings/needs one moment then does a 180 and hides why he needs to protect those who are there to protect him. This story is heavy in healing old wounds, being vulnerable when it counts, and having open communication. Narrators JF Harding and Austin Stone delivered a performance that was equal parts captivating and r*w. Every spoken word between these two showcased the perfect balance of intensity, feeling, and power.

I adored this story from Rina Saint. The narration was incredible! I wish there were more Constantine Brothers for Rina to write. I am sad there were only two in this series.
