The narration of the main character is kind of flat. He sounds like a mentally challenged person from the deep south. The way he doesn't use contractions makes him sound slow and stupid.

The narrator is very good in other books. But when trying an American accent he makes the characters seem dull and lifeless.

For a Harem book I don't believe you could get any better than this book. The storyline for for me was fantastic and I'm hoping that next two will come out with a completely different narrator. An American narrator. if your going to place a book in a specific country don't give a foreign narrator. A British narrator trying to sound Southern is disgusting and ridiculous. Plus the narrator in all three books is halting and just plain crappie. Please, this is a fantastic story so don't ruin it with the same bad narrator.
