Lane

As an FBI agent, it’s my job to hunt down the worst of society. The serial killer I’m hunting, dubbed The Poser, is worse than the worst. He leaves no clues but beautifully drawn pictures of his victims. He’s too smart, too cunning.

I challenge him one day to show himself. And show himself he does.

Ryell

I’ve enjoyed killing for decades and I’m always careful. I leave no clues, no trace besides the sketches that are my calling card. My day job as an oral surgeon hides my life as a psychopathic serial killer and I like it that way.

Then Agent Bauer says he’ll find me, put me away forever. He has no clue who I am, but he’s about to find out.

This was honestly one of the best books I’ve listened to in a while. I felt all the feels with these characters. Such strong characters with strong emotions. Amazing story. Very well written. My heart was broken then pieced back together better than before. There were also swoon worthy moments and laughable moments. I may have even gasped a time or four. I will be listening to this again.

I loved hearing this story a whole lot. Ryell and Lane have a dark and dangerously addictive story that is awesome to hear. Good audiobook!

A dark, intense listen that was highly entertaining from start to finish. The story pulls you into a twisted cat-and-mouse dynamic between an FBI agent and a calculating serial killer, and I found myself drawn to both characters—even knowing how disturbing that sounds. The writing has a strong, steady flow that kept me fully engaged and made it easy to stay hooked the entire time.
This was my first by this author, and I’ll definitely be back for more. The narration by Oliver Williams was well done and fit the tone of the story perfectly.
