A Bit About My Writing Journey My journey with my first novel, The Jade Pandora: Two Kings, One Throne, has been something of an epic literary quest. It took more than ten years for the story to finally reach its natural conclusion, while also inspiring countless new ideas about how I intend to continue the saga that had lived inside my mind for so long. My passion for writing began when I was around ten or eleven years old. An author visited my school and spent the day explaining the pre-internet journey to publication—yes, pre-internet, I said it. He helped us create our own short stories in the hope of igniting a passion for writing. For me, it worked. I continued writing throughout my childhood: short stories, poetry—badly—school newspapers, and all the usual things children experiment with. However, for many years, I never believed my writing could become anything more. Then, one day, an idea began to form, and I announced to my wife, “I am going to write a book.” That was where The Jade Pandora Saga truly began. What followed were years of stopping, starting, rewriting, doubting myself, and eventually shelving the manuscript because I did not believe it was good enough. It remained unfinished until I met the right people—the ones who read it, believed in it, and simply told me, “Finish it.” Thanks to them, I did. On 20 September 2025, following extensive editing, rewriting, structural changes, and everything else that comes with preparing a novel for publication, I finally released The Jade Pandora: Two Kings, One Throne. What began as a single story has since grown into an entire world. The first accompanying novella, Lemma: The Star at the Beginning, allowed me to explore the history of one of the saga’s central characters and reveal more of the world of Apprite. Then, on 28 June 2026, I released the second novel in the saga, Restoration of Faith. Now, as I continue writing Book Three and planning further novellas, the story that once remained trapped inside my imagination is becoming something far greater than I originally envisioned. This journey has taught me that writing is rarely a straight path. Sometimes a story needs time, encouragement, and the right people around you before it is ready to be told. For years, I wondered whether I could truly write and whether my story was worth sharing. The readers, authors, friends, and family who have supported me have shown me that it is. The journey is far from over. In many ways, it has only just begun.
