ANDY COWAN is the creator and host of The Neurotic Vaccine comedy/therapy podcast, the 2025 Quill Podcast Award winner for Best Comedy Podcast. A Who's Who in America 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient with multiple episode, staff, and pilot writing credits reflecting over a dozen comedies and talk shows, he is the only comedy writer collectively associated with Cheers, Seinfeld, and 3rd Rock from the Sun and was honored in 2013 by the Writers Guild of America as a writer on two of the 101 Best Written TV Series (Cheers and Seinfeld). He produced, wrote, and hosted his CableACE Award-winning comedy short 6 Minutes for Showtime and wrote/appeared in Knocked Down, a best comedy winner at the Southeast New England Film, Music & Arts Festival. He performs as lead vocalist and hand percussionist in music venues throughout Los Angeles and has penned dozens of humor pieces for the Los Angeles Times, Salon, Reader's Digest, and The New Yorker and written 300 comic panels for Dan Piraro's award-winning, internationally syndicated King Features panel, Bizarro. He earned his master's degree in broadcasting from Boston University and began his broadcasting career in radio and TV news in Pennsylvania. His memoir, Banging My Head Against the Wall: A Comedy Writer’s Guide to Seeing Stars, with a foreword by Jay Leno, published in 2018 by Black Rose Writing, is featured at The National Comedy Center in Jamestown, New York.
