Kevin earned his BA in economics from Denison University in 1973. After pilot training in the US Air Force, he flew C-141’s on active duty as well as in the AF Reserves. Kevin was hired by American Airlines at the end of 1977 and concurrently earned his MBA at The Wharton School in 1981 and his CFP in 1987. While at American, Kevin directed the union’s (The Allied Pilots Association) due diligence efforts on starting a Credit Union. The Allied Pilots Federal Credit Union began operation in January of 1994 and was quickly recognized as an early adopter of electronic banking services. Kevin was on the Board of Directors from its inception. Kevin retired as a pilot in 2010 but continued to be involved with the Pilot community using his business acumen. Kevin was one of the early members and an eventual partner in Lifetime Asset Management Program (LAMP), an RIA (Registered Investment Advisory Firm). LAMP marketed asset management services to pilots as they approached retirement. Kevin created the critical equation used in the firm’s “Final Approach” marketing program. The marketing program was built around the equation which helped the pilots optimize their decision on when to retire. LAMP merged with Pritchard and Herr Associates becoming Pritchard, Hubble & Herr. The firm then later purchased Retirement Advisors of America (RAA) and continued its corporate life under that name until being purchased by Allworth Financial. While at the successive versions of the RIA Kevin Served as East Coast Director, Designed an Investment Policy Statement for clients, revised an early version of the annual Retirement Resource Review (this was used as the annual health checkup for clients), was the Strategic Planning Director, CFO, and Board Member. RAA was purchased by Allworth Financial after Kevin retired from RAA. RAA is now called Allworth Airline Advisors. Kevin and his wife, Marcia, are enjoying their retirement activities in Florida.
