Born talking – so my mum said – I’ve been telling stories ever since. I’ve been writing books for children for forty years - and still am. But now I'm writing for grown-ups too. My first novel,The Widows’ Wine Club, a sad-happy romance based on my own experience as a widow came out in 2023 and was an immediate success. Right from the start readers loved sweary Viv - no, she's not me! - straight-laced Janet and glamorous Zelda. Publishers asked for more. Widows on the Wine Path came next, introducing the newly widowed Libby and the obnoxious Monty. Widows Beware! Next came Widows Waive the Rules and number four, The Widows' Book Club is just out! Get it in Kindle, paperback, hardback or Audio. It's FREE on Kindle at the moment if you have Prime. Read or listen to any or all of the series for uplifting heart-warming stories about women's friendship and the ups and downs of later life. Yes,downs too, there's some grit,but my widows always come out on top! I still write for children — Cheeky Chick (Boxer Books) and Poonami came out in 2024 - and classics like Big Red Bath, Class Two at the Zoo, and my Time Travelling Cat series remain firm favorites.
