I'm Kenny Gould and I write all things fantasy and science fiction. My most popular book, The Castle of 1,000 Doors, features a talking potato named Spud. I think that tells you everything you need to know about my writing. For a long time, I was one of the country's foremost beer writers, and I've written about beer for Bon Appetit, Men's Health, Gear Patrol, and Thrillist, among others. In 2017, I founded a beer magazine called Hop Culture, which was acquired in 2020 by a beverage technology company called Next Glass. I hold a BA in English from Duke University, an MFA from Chatham University, and an MBA from NYU Stern. Some of my favorite fantasy authors include Will Wight, N.K. Jemisin, Josiah Bancroft, Tamsyn Muir, Mark Lawrence, and Brandon Sanderson.
