Nathan Clarkson is an award-winning actor, Publishers Weekly best-selling author, Netflix trending filmmaker, Spark award-winning podcast philosopher, and member of the well-known and beloved Clarkson Family. As an actor, Nathan regularly appears in national commercials, TV shows like NBC’s Community and Peacock’s Poker Face, and major feature films like A24’s Oscar-nominated Past Lives and hit Universal’s The Purge (see his IMDb here). A graduate of The New York Film Academy in New York where he studied with some of the greatest acting coaches in the world, Nathan has acted across of multiple Hollywood stars and Oscar-winning and Oscar-nominated actors. As a filmmaker, Nathan’s original movies, seen by millions, have trended on Netflix, Amazon Prime, AppleTV, and more. With his company, Clarkson Creations, Nathan has produced such indie hits as Confessions of a Prodigal Son, The Unlikely Good Samaritan, Miracle on Highway 34, Don’t Know Jack, Bright Sky, and the upcoming art-house religious drama Act of Contrition. As an author, Nathan’s signature conversational style, filled with thoughts and reflections on various topics, can be found in multiple books. His first book, Different, a personal memoir of stories of and thoughts on growing up with a neurodivergent mind and mental illness, quickly became a national bestseller after an interview on NBC’s Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda. Since then, Nathan has written books such as Good Man, The Way of Kings, Finding God in Hollywood, Uniquely You, and children’s picture books, Only You Can Be You and The Clubhouse. His latest book, I’m The Worst, comes out early 2026. Nathan is also the co-host of the beloved and (Content Media) award-winning podcast, The Overthinkers: “Having fun thinking deeply.” The podcast covers topics of faith, art, philosophy, pop culture, and the big questions of life. The program features a lineup of New York Times bestselling authors, Pulitzer Prize winners, Hollywood directors/actors, esteemed academics, and many more influential and intriguing guests. Nathan is a Patheos Magazine columnist for Cross Cultural, where he writes regularly on the intersection of faith and culture.
