Noreen Naseem Rodríguez is an Associate Professor of Elementary Education and Educational Justice at Michigan State University. Before becoming a teacher educator and academic researcher, she was a bilingual elementary teacher in Austin, Texas for nine years. She studies how future and current teachers use children's literature and primary sources to teach the histories of marginalized communities and is especially interested in the teaching and learning of Asian American histories. In addition to her books, she has published over five dozen scholarly and practitioner articles and book chapters and has won numerous awards and honors for her scholarship.
