Scott M. Baker was born and raised in Everett, Massachusetts, and spent twenty-three years in northern Virginia working for the Central Intelligence Agency. He has traveled extensively through Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, incorporating many of the locations and cultures in his stories. Scott lives outside Salem, New Hampshire, with his dog Fred and two cats who treat him as their human servant. In addition to Ratpocalypse, Scott is currently working on the third and final book in his A World Gone Dark trilogy, a post-apocalyptic series about a solar flare that wipes out all electronics worldwide, which is part of the multi-author Ravaged Skies series. He is also working to complete The Chronicles of Paul saga and is plotting out his next zombie apocalypse series. Previous works include the Nurse Alissa vs. the Zombies series, his most popular zombie saga; his Tatyana paranormal series, his second most popular saga; OSS: Office of Supernatural Services, about Allied intelligence officers versus Nazi occultism during World War II; Operation Majestic, his first science fiction novel described as Raiders of the Lost Ark meets Back to the Future – with aliens; Frozen World, his first non-zombie post-apocalypse novel; the Shattered World series, his five-book young adult post-apocalypse thriller; the Rotter World trilogy, his first zombie series; and The Vampire Hunters trilogy, about humans fighting the undead in Washington D.C.
