Tom Plemmons grew up as a Baptist missionary kid, living in Germany from the time he was seven until just two weeks before his eighteenth birthday. He married the girl of his dreams in 1999 at the ripe age of twenty and has been married to her ever since! His daughter and son are both grown and married to the wonderful spouses God has provided for them. He and his extended family are faithful members of Lake Worth Baptist Church in Lake Worth, Texas. Tom has a Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management and a Master’s Degree in Religious Education. He is a Project Manager professionally, was a licensed Personal Protection Officer with the Texas Department of Public Safety and is a Certified Glock Armorer. He also holds certifications as an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor as well as an NRA Range Safety Officer and is currently working toward his Texas LTC Instructor License. He actively competes in USPSA in the Carry Optics division and is currently classified as a B-Class shooter, consistently performing at a solid intermediate level against experienced competitors. His commitment to ongoing development in firearms and tactics reflects his desire to one day help others grow in these skills with confidence and responsibility. His passion for educating and training Christians and sharing the gospel with the world led him to write the Sell Your Cloak book—a call to spiritual and practical readiness inspired by Luke 22:36. This passion continues to shape his ministry and daily life as he shares the message with everyone he has the opportunity to reach. He is also the host of Well Lit Path, a weekly podcast ministry of Lake Worth Baptist Church, where he shares biblical insights and personal reflections to encourage believers to walk closer with God. Outside of his professional and ministry responsibilities, Tom is a devoted husband, a proud father of two, a loving son and brother, and an Opa—embracing his role as a grandfather with heartfelt purpose and joy.
