Zachary is an author, ordained minister, and New Testament scholar. He holds a DPhil (PhD) in New Testament studies from the University of Oxford. He is the author of Men of Virtue: How the Fruit of the Spirit Forms Male Character in the Modern World (Brazos, 2026) and Non-Toxic Masculinity: Recovering Healthy Male Sexuality (IVP, 2023). Zach grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago in a homeschooling family as the fourth of six siblings, an environment that sparked his lifelong love of languages, ideas, and reading. He is passionate about the intersection between the Bible, theology, and culture in the late modern world. His academic research focuses on a theology of reward, and his current interests include early Christian history, Greek and Roman philosophy, Christian masculinity, and virtue ethics. His current writing interests include He now lives just outside Chicago in an intentional community with his wife, three kids, and two additional housemates.
