Having experienced his first survival type Trial, Trent Embra is eager to explore what else the world has to offer.

There is only one problem. Not everyone comes away from a month of constant fighting untouched. Trent's friend Tersa is unhinged by her time in the Land of the Undying Lord, and Sergeant Cullen means to see her fixed. Enlisted to help, Trent is dragged toward another Trial, mostly willingly. Only time will tell if Tersa still has a place in the Guard and what the Infinite World has in store for Trent.

This series has put me in a bind. Do I spend next month’s credit on the new Jim Butcher Book (which I have waited 4 years to get) or book 3 in this series? That’s how good this series is.

Amazing series

I’m enjoying this series, now in book 2 I’m glad it takes off right where the last book finished, I expect the same in book 3. The lore is fleshing out nicely but I hesitate because this book felt like a bridge to a world that is finally opening up and just hope this series will actually finish with an ending.

Great LitRPG

Absolutely love it. I was surprised by the turn however, the story felt a bit off afterwards, but I understand now. Still an amazing book. A great continuation and my only hope is If it was any longer.

Amazing work

I really like the growth, struggle, misunderstanding and cluelessness embodied in one character. I have all the audiobooks and actual books. Keep them coming!!

Wonderful

The first book really pulled me into the Infinite World enough to hunger for more. This second book added a lot of depth to each character and enriched the history. The shorter overall length and the comparatively less intense action may make it seem as if there is less going on at first glance, but it's like the difference between a charcoal sketch outline, which gives the shape, and the finished oil painting that fills in all the color and detail. This book is clearly paving the way to the rest of the series, so has a bit of a cliffhanger-type irritation factor, but if the rest of the series lives up to the promise set up here, then I think it will be well worth it.

Great character progression
