I like this story a lot and I believe it relates to my interest in manhwa and web comics. I would say this is a great book for anyone familiar with cultivation stories. The only downside with it, is just that. If you are not familiar with cultivation stories then this will be a bit hard to follow and get into. I realize adding more detail and information to a story like this would bloat it and make it a hard listen/read. So while it is a downside, it's also a plus for those who are familiar with the style. I saw this collection as a steal for 3.5 stories and will be picking up the remaining books.

I was hesitant to get this series due to the long time commitment, but I’m glad I did. It turned out to be an amazing series that kept me hooked every second. The narrator also did a great job. I recommend anyone contemplating whether or not to get it to just do it. It’s worth it.

I enjoyed the first books quick pacing when compared to other popular series in similar genre. The second book was more event focused and had less overall progression but showed great character building and event building with realistic consequences that don’t hold back the future of the story. And the third book had good world building and returned to good progression and setting up for a training arc the will likely come in or between the next book. The short story after book three was clever world building and perspective shifting allowing for understanding of how the main characters appear relative to other top players in the universe.
