Curses run deep. Desire runs deeper. Welcome back to the City of the Damned.

Suri survived Queen Lera's ceremony, but now she's trapped in the City of the Damned. Its ruler, Kol, believes she's the key to breaking the desert wasteland's curse, but Suri just wants to save her brother and escape the growing temptations of his court.

As dangerous threats close in, Suri learns her blood bond might be the only way to stop Queen Lera. Spellbinding balls, glamours, blood witches, and dark prophecies await – but only if Suri dares to confront Kol's shadowed past.

Passion, power, and prophecy collide in this thrilling sequel to 'A Pocket of Lies'. Fans of 'The Bridge Kingdom' by Danielle L. Jensen and 'The City of Brass' by S.A. Chakraborty will love this high-stakes, slow-burn fantasy romance series.

Why did she HAVE to make the FMC sound like a kid? The narrator’s voice was good, until she had to do dialogue for the FMC, then she made this literal child voice. It made everything really weird, and she made the FMC sound so naive and dumb. She’s an adult, cmon… i kept going back to my kindle, cause I couldn’t handle it

This one had so many surprises and unexpected plot twists, deeply riveting, I drank the first two books like water in a desert. I can't wait for the next one!
