If you are a fan of the Mission City stories, this is a perfect insight into Archer. Interestingly, he sees himself as 'needing to do better' with his life. His inner snark is at full volume and giving him a hard time. Dealing with Chevy revealed his moral fiber, and I was impressed.

Archer oh Archer....

Archer has put his job in front of everything, While he was helping one of his clients escape her home while her husband was out of town his own wife was leaving him. Did he care no not really. Instead he tries to set up a meet up with a man he has been chatting with online. However seems thing off between the two and when the man lets something slip he kicks him out.

Archer then receives a call from the person building his new home out in Mission City. It appears there is an issue with the new neighbor when the builders may have broken a few rules on sounds.

Will Archer have to go apologize to the neighbor? Will he start to rethink everything? Will he just try to date again after this night falls through?

This is a very short tease to book 5 in the series. I am off to read that one but i love the chance of getting a little backstory on Archer and his issues.

I was so happy that Gabbi wrote this prequel of sorts. We get that extra little bit of feels for Archer and why he is who he is today. Michael Dean narrating brought out this hot little, short that leaves you wanting more with Archer and of course Gideon! Archer needs a real man next time!

This short story introduces us to Archer, the recently divorced, closeted bisexual, divorce attorney.
After the divorce from his wife, Archer wants to explore his bisexuality again, after his college experience. The first attempt on an app does not go so well, but Archer is willing be patient and try again. I am looking forward to reading more about him in the next book.

Even though this could have been a good prologue for the main book, it is a solid and intriguing start. It’s a good preamble to knowing who Archer is and how everything sort of began.

Would I made a whole audiobook/book for it? No, but if it works for the author, I ain’t knocking it. In what matters (the writing, the performance, the attention) it was very good and def would recommend before hopping into the main book.

-Formal Bi-Awakening (he knew he was Bi but he’s finally ready to explore for real)
