Years ago, he broke me.
Now he’s back with a proposition.
He needs a fake fiancée, and I’m the one he’s come to.

Audacious - that’s how I would describe him. He was my first love, my first kiss, and my first heartbreak, from which I never truly healed.

Kane was once the man of my dreams, on paper - strong, handsome, and a complete charmer. But the problem is, he has never given a damn about anyone but himself.

I’ve never witnessed a desperate man until Kane knocked on my door with literally the proposal of a lifetime.

I must admit, it’s ironic he’s come to me given the way things ended between us.

It’s possibly the worst idea ever, but I need the money. How do I not fall for Kane all over again and risk history repeating itself? Only time will tell.

This was not a bad story. I've read the review before going into it. Some of the reviews stated that they didn't like the heroine character but liked the hero. I disagree because he was the playboy and he was the one who left her for another girl. Apparently, he was still a playboy. Why else he would proposition her to be his fake fiance? That said, both characters were okay. I didn't hate or love them. I did like her BF. She was funny and likable character. I loved the performance and i am familiar with both. highly recommend!

I liked these two together, but I'm not sure if I ever really understood why the broke up in the past. But whatever the reason, I felt like Kane more than made up for it once he came back into the picture. Their new relationship moved a little fast, but I think that with their history, it works, and it being a rebound for her doesn't really come into play.

this was a good book. I like how Jolene and Adele were so close but it really bothered me that Adele's rape was consist with the original story but not being a addict. the drinking was a little much for me only because it was simply out of place. you can't have one aspect of a character without the other. but overall it was a cute story that had the potential to be great.

You don’t need to read the first book but if you want to....
The first book that started the “Hero Club Series” Soraya and Graham’s story Is “Stuck-Up Suit” by ViKeeland and Penelope Ward it took me forever to figure it out.

Great story

I listened to the audiobook and while I overall enjoyed it (narrated by Lance Greenfield and Michelle Ferguson), the story itself was a little unbelievable. This is a fake engagement story but the man, Kane, was totally not believable as someone for really wanted to change to become a better person for Jolene. This is also a second-chance romance and he hurt her a lot by breaking up with him and then, they didn't even resolve this issue. So overall, I thought that Jolene overcame their obstacles too quickly and Kane's redemption didn't feel authentic. That said, I had no trouble finishing the story and it was fun to see Adele and Chase again (although, what is it with Jolene not being able to do anything without asking Adele about it!?!)
