I never wanted to inherit a title; I was doing just fine living estranged from my father, making my own rules.

Now that he's dead, I'm the new Duke, and people have expectations of me.

The first one is to find myself a Duchess. Olivia Adams is innocent to the world, and far too naive to its cruelty. When her brother betrays me, she comes to me and begs me to spare his life, then she makes a deal with the devil. One she can't go back from. All men of title need heirs, and Olivia's going to learn that Bad Dukes don't play fair.

Bad Duke is a standalone, breeding romance set in modern-day British aristocracy. Expect an over-possessive, dirty-talking Duke; praise kink; a virgin heroine; a hero obsessed with breeding; pregnancy (not just in the epilogue).

Spice is really good, story is good. I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down

This was amazing. I did not expect it to be this good

This was a pretty good read! Yes, it took me awhile to get through it but it was worth sticking with it! This story started out with a bored playboy who quickly turned into a simp. I’m all for he falls 1st but his entire personality had a transplant and it threw me off…until it didn’t! His over the top loving ways warmed my heart. It made me root for him to get his happily ever after. He sure deserved it.
Then we have our FMC who was sweet yet tough at the same time. She had a heart of gold and deserved all the happiness.
We followed these 2 on their journey to love & boy were there LOTS of plot twists along the way!! Just when I thought I’d figured out who dun it, I was sadly mistaken. So many roads exploded I wanted to pull my hair out. As far as being possessive, obsessive and uber alpha our MMC had THAT BDE in spades! He took no prisoners and also made sure she knew who she belonged to. The spïce was burn your pages off hot and extremely prevalent once they got to it! lol
When listening, it took awhile to get used to the English accents (especially after just finishing a book with Irish accents) but both narrators Luke Willam Bromley and Lucy Jessica delivered and make me feel like I was right there in England!
So all in all, a good read and Lilah Raine always delivers. Was it my favorite by her? No but was it still intriguing enough to make me come back for more each time I stopped? Yes, yes it was!

A story that went in 2 completely different directions

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. At first I was a bit dubious about it, Alex and his lifestyle was eww... but so glad I waited for his evolution, so worth it! Olivia was a believable heroine, which is refreshing and thankfully not all the 50 shades of spanking/pain "kink" that I swear is in EVERY dark romance and completely OVERDONE. Its a turn off really. I dont mibd spicy sex but all the bdsm kinks, tiresome. Biw onto the plot twists, this story has some! Worth the credit!!!

Worth the credit!

Would J recommend it… yes, but it’s slow at multiple points throughout the book. Too much backstory, and not enough interaction between the MFC & MMC. I would give it a 4/5

Solid Book 📕 Spicy Dialogue!

I really wanted to like this 🎧book but I found myself disappointed once again😒 The storyline was actually pretty good it’s the male narrators voice that killed the listening experience for me! No offense to LWB but his voice was dreadful and you can’t just fast forward through his parts. The female narrator was just okay but she alone can’t make this 🎧book tolerable enough to enjoy. The only positive in this book is that it ends with an HEA. Is it worth a credit? No thanks!
