The first book in an epic new dark academia romantasy, perfect for fans of the Zodiac Academy and Atlas Six series, about a young woman named Summer Tuatha De Daanan who enrolls at the magical Avalon University, where she must uncover the secrets of her past, find the mysterious benefactor who paved her way, and stop a sadistic killer who threatens to drench Avalon in blood.

Fear, Fury and Fire.

To Know is Not Enough.

Power flows through the ancient halls of Avalon University like a neverending flood. Admission to the elite institution enables students to hone their magic under the watchful eye of their icy headmaster.

Summer Tuatha De Daanan planned to slide through her tenure at Avalon, unnoticed and inconspicuous. She has no interest in learning more about her past or why someone applied to the school on her behalf. Her emotional walls keep everyone at bay, and her sharp tongue makes people give her a wide berth. Yet, despite her best attempts, her emotional armor begins to melt from her feral vampire roommate to the angelic senior who is never dissuaded by her feigning disinterest. Maybe this could be good for her, a new life. Yet, dark secrets lurk in the halls of Avalon, and soon those same halls are drenched in blood.

Summer finds herself as the obsession of the sadistic stalker with the warning: Seven lessons to learn. With the help of her new friends, she races against the clock to solve the mystery, hoping to save lives and catch the killer before it's too late.

The most annoying FMC. How this was written without the authors rolling their own eyes at their character I don’t know. 29 hours of this girl….. she’s doesn’t deserve Connor.

Too much “angst” and dumb Fmc

This duet narration HAS ME. IT HAS ME!! I can not wait for sept 1st to arrive because I NEED it.
Read the book!

I’m obsessed

Loved the narrations from the voice actors. Corvin King really made all the men sound perfectly delicious but their own.

Fantastic narrations

I genuinely enjoyed this story and LOVED that it was duet narration. Both narrators did great! The only thing I would change was just that it was a little too long. Meaning it got slow quite a few times. But the plus side with audio is that you can speed up the slow parts. Other than that, I look forward to the next one. It’s definitely worth a credit.

A little long but really good

While I genuinely enjoyed the non-relationship parts of this story (and some of the relationship parts), the sheer amount of mundane filler and the overall length of the book wore me down. By the end, I was honestly just ready for it to be over.

Summer is written as avoidant, but as someone who is avoidant myself, her arc didn't feel realistic. People with avoidant tendencies, especially those who've been hurt, do not jump into relationships as quickly or easily as she did with Conner. Yes, Conner is portrayed as practically "perfect," but it's also painfully obvious that Summer isn't ready for the relationship. She's openly lusting after the stranger and feels more seen by him... so how are you supposed to be in a committed relationship while saying things like that to someone else??

85% of this book is basically Conner's insta-love obsession, Summer repeating how "perfect" he is, endless sex scenes (and I love smutty books don't get me wrong), and her being oblivious to everyone wanting her.

For a mid-20s FMC, she felt incredibly immature. And honestly, she didn't behave like someone living with real trauma at all, which made the story feel unrealistic especially for me who has actual trauma.

There was absolutely no reason for this book to be this long. It would have been so much more enjoyable if some of the repetitive day to day scenes like the endless breakfast burritos, coffee runs, and Summer and Conner saying " love you" for the 80,000th time had been trimmed down and there was more focus on the stranger and killer instead.

The fact that Summer lied to Conner for months, he found out, slept with her, and then proposed? Be serious. Who reacts like that in a committed relationship when trust is broken???

The Alice dying but not really dying *insert eye roll* at how many times this has been done? Not that I want Alice to die but when it happened I didn't even have time to be upset about it before she's back to life.

Then with the cliffhanger that I saw coming with "how perfect Conner is" but I'm also going to bet that they find a way to bring back from the dead as well.

Good story but was overshadowed by repetitiveness.
