From NYT best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan comes a brand new series where second chances don’t come often, and overcoming an unexpected loss means breaking everything you knew.

Violet Knight fell for Cameron at the wrong time. And when he left, she thought her life was over. But then, after the worst happened, she truly understood what that phrase meant. Now, he’s not ready for a second chance, and she’s not offering one. Though given that their families have been forced together after losing one of their own, she knows there’s no turning back. Not this time. Not again. Not when it comes to Cameron.

Cameron Connolly never wanted to hurt Violet, but there were reasons he had to leave all those years ago - not that she'd believe him if he told her what they were. He not only left her, he also left his foster brothers. Honestly, Cam didn’t want to come back to Denver to help run his father’s failing brewery. But when it comes to his brothers, he knows he’ll find a way to make it work. Perhaps he’ll even earn Violet’s forgiveness and face the connection they both thought long forgotten in the process. Because he wanted her then, but now he knows he needs her. He just hope she needs me.

Couldn’t really get pass all inner dialog to finish book. Love the narrators. Was trying to push through. Sounded like a plot.

Too much inner dialog.

It just seemed to never have anything exciting. I wish Violet had been a little harder to get back

Kinda Boring

An emotionally charged, endearing and beautiful second chance romance. Cameron and Violet are adorable together. They had some hurdles to overcome but their deep connection and love for each other pulled them through. I enjoyed going on this journey with them.

Cameron and Violet

Dealing with death is a hard emotional and crushing feel. All people have a certain way of dealing and some need extra help with this. Violet had much grief about her dear friend and the reason why she did the unspeakable. Then, comes Cameron back in the picture with feelings between Violet and himself that were never resolved, This was a good listen and narrators Joe and Maxine always do a fine job in telling it.

Sensitive & Emotional Topic

The name of this series fit... it really is fractured connections. suicide is a tough topic to address. it is done tastefully and I appreciate the characters focused on living vs. trying to find an answer about their friend. the story is sweet but a bit slower than the normal Carrie Ann Ryan books.

Interesting spinoff
