The day I lost my best friend was the day I realized that I'd been living in the past. I've tried to find a way to heal, to mend that break. Somehow, I came through it partially whole. But I know I couldn't have done that without Aiden Connolly.

The problem is, he once loved my best friend. And now she's gone, and I refuse to be in that shadow, or worse, a replacement for someone we both loved.

~

I left them all behind.

My brother.

My family.

My best friend.

And her.

Only Sienna Knight doesn't realize what she means to me. But before I can make sure she knows, I need to figure out exactly what that is.

This was another great addition to this series with Sienna and Aiden's story. The pair had an emotional story that had a few twists for the pair to find in their HEA. The grief that the pair are dealing with was relate-able and well written. I also liked that Sienna was open about herself seeking therapy for her issues. This was a well written story and the couple had chemistry together. In the audio version the narration was performed well by Ms. Mitchell and Mr. Arden and the pair did a great job bringing Sienna and Aiden's story to life. I enjoyed this book from the start and would recommend it as well as this series to others.

Great addition to this series

You never think that a tragedy will bring you pure happiness until you realize that it's been right before your eyes the whole time. When you lose the one person who held you together you never think you can find another person quite like them.

This book is about healing from your past and learning to love. Aiden has had it rough during his life and he is having a difficult time of dealing with his feelings. Sienna has lost her best friend and she has had a crush on her friends former boyfriend for years. Her guilt won't let her acknowledge those feelings until an event finally forces both Aiden and Sienna to admit how they feel.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell were great. Loved listening to them both.

This is book 3 in the Fractured Connections series and I would absolutely read the books before it because otherwise you will be missing part of the back story and may not understand the relationships. In this one we get Aiden and Sienna's story, and I have to say I was extremely impatient for theirs! Aiden and Sienna have so many things that they have to work through. Not just their own issues with their friend's suicide and how to deal with the feelings left over from it, but how to handle if they want to move their relationship from friendship into something more. And Sienna has her own issues to think about in terms of having a real relationship with Aiden. I don't want to say too much because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone. I will say, I loved them together. They will make you laugh and they will make you cry. Anyone who has dealt with suicide before knows how hard it is to move on from it. They can tell you that it will affect the friend's and family of that person for the rest of their lives. And these books just show how real it is for the people that are left behind. I think that is why I love them so much. They don't leave anything out on how a person can and will feel. They are the reality. And I personally love that about them. The story is phenomenal. And then you throw in the audio and it is just as great! Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden do a brilliant job! There aren't any strange accents. The story flows along beautifully while being able to convey the emotions that are written in the book. I loved listening to it and will definitely re-listen at another time!

Beautiful Story!

With every new book the Fractured Connections series gets better and better. Sienna and Aiden have been circling each other throughout the first two books in this series and it was so great, a relief almost, to finally see them find their way to each other.
The main characters in this series never have it easy and the same is true for Sienna and Aiden, there is more for them to overcome than the loss of their mutual friend Alison. Sienna finds herself in dangers situations and Aiden has a painful secret in his past that he needs to open up about because he is haunted by it still. They both have a tendency to worry and take on blame/responsibility for things they have no control over. For Aiden that translates into his infamous anger management issues, while Sienna turns to avoidance/denial as a crutch.
Aiden and Sienna gravitate quite gradually, or so it seems at first, from friendship to coupledom and a new normal for them both, a normal where they can be together without guilt and let the embers of their old crushes grow into a deeper love. Aiden is great at saying & doing the exact wrong thing, even when he means well, but he learns from his mistakes, motivated by love, which was wonderful.
Aiden and Diego were the sweetest! Who knew he was a cat person! I loved all of Sienna’s cats too, and how Aiden and Sienna constantly talked to their pets. Too adorable.
Apart from the romances and the wonderful couples, the strength of this series lies in the sense of friendship and family that is omnipresent, inspiring and endearing. I love how they all stick together and I adore every glimpse we get of the secondary characters. Dillon is the brightest light for me, always, and I was so moved by him in this story especially! I do hope he gets his own book sooner rather than later.

Narration: Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell continue on the road to audio greatness. They did such an amazing job narrating this story and all its characters, both main and secondary ones. I really enjoyed the emotion they brought to their performances as well as their pacing and timbre. What also stands out to me, is how great they both are at doing voices for characters of the opposite sex. Recommend!

Very moving love story & sublime narration!
