Rick Mann obviously reads very widely and distills a tremendous amount of literature into a short, practical book that uses an effective Why, How, and What framework. He explains why a concept matters, how it works, and what practical steps to take to implement the principle. The author has wide experience in working, teaching, and consulting in both for- and non-profit organizations, and that comes through in his writing. There are much longer and more detailed books on this subject, but Mann strikes a great balance between breadth, depth, and applicability. Because the audiobook is taken directly from the print version, the transitions can sound a little clunky, which another reviewer commented on. Obviously, audiobooks don't have the benefits of print's typography and layout. However, this isn't uncommon in this format and does not distract from the great content.

A very concise, practical & well-referenced guide

Lots of self promotion and can tell this is a professor speaking like he is talking to a class and it is not a class I would want to take.1/3 of the way through and just cant take it anymore.
